Never having played Portal before... (I know I've spent the last X years living under a rock ) I was hoping for tips on how to come to grips with the Portal Object Pack?

My test grendel is very fond of GLaDOS's cake, but my test ettin prefers the Intelligence Core to the Weighted Companion Cube?

I've been playing around with the Portal Pack. I've found that, when you inject a Turret, you get a Turret and a clipboard. Set the Turret where you want it, and grab the clipboard. Place the clipboard directly on the Turret, and from here you can set the settings. The Turret comes in handy when I'm trying to keep Grendels out of Norns play area.

No idea what the companion cube does, yet, I love it either way.

No idea what the Intelligence Core does either.

The Scorport is a great tool. I've only found it's to just play with, but either way, it's pretty ingenious. You click it, and you can then control it with the arrow keys. Left for left, right for right, up to look up, down to look down.

GlaDOS's Cake is awesome as well. Besides the constant coughing, my creatures love it!

I already absolutely love this mod, and I hope the creator of it can bring us more greatness.

Happy CCSF 2011!

The Intelligence Core dances around and sings a song when pushed by a creature.

Don't forget that the scorport thingy can fire actual portals, too! The instructions are in the ingame help. I love putting a portal underneath a fruit-bearing tree and another on the ceiling of a barren room.

Silly question, but how does one access the in-game help? This sounds like a really useful idea... Just need to figure out how to do it! Thanks!

Press F1 to have the question mark pop up, then right-click any object.

Figured it was that simple! I actually was doing it correctly, but my catalogue files were in the wrong place. I found a bunch that were missing from the right folder: Everything makes sense now! And I tested out the portal feature, which is absolutely amazing. Your idea for putting one under a fruit-bearing tree and another in a barren room is genius. Apples falling from the sky?! You better believe it!

Thanks for the help!
