Day 3: The roof and a half-finished pillar. The roof still needs a bit of tweaking. Hopefully, I will get this bit finished in the next day or two.

Day 1.. I guess? o.O
My computer is having serious problems, and I will most likely need to buy new hardware...
I'll see how far I can make it on this prodject before getting kicked out... anyhow, here's what I've done so far;

http://aj84.bravehost.com/process_biodome-01.jpg
(I seam to be unable to get the codeing to work.. so you'll currently have to copy and paste the adress. Sorry about this!)

I thought that this part of the biodome is a bit isolated and "hidden away" in the corner, so I figured that I want to do something like old, forgotten mechanic room. With equipment that gone rusty and with plants growing around the place. Or something ^^;
(on a side-note, I work in such way that I first roughly put together some peices to later work with details.. thus, don't let things like the quickly tossed on shadows or other out of place things scare you just yet XD)

Shadowveil and Spook, your work look really nifty! I love looking at these process pictures, seing how your backrounds are getting put together

Ooh, I like your idea Nirax. This room looks like it's going to be quite cool.

Wow! Those are all so awesome... I wish I had the skills you guys do!

I've been inspired to work on my own part of the room, so I'll be doing the top area above Shadowveil's. There is now only 1 area left to work on, which is the underwater area. I'm saving that for someone with some talent, so if you're up to a largish area and have some skills in either 3d or cut-and-paste art, please contact me at liam.esler(at)gmail.com!

However, if anyone else wants to work on an area of the Biodome, I'm totally willing and enthusiastic to have some of the rooms have changeable backgrounds like in Terra!

The rooms available for this are: the middle corridoor, the smallest room above this, and the larger room to the right of the smallest room (Websitekitty's area).

Finished, more or less. I also have a version without the back layer of background, if that is easier to blend in with the rest of the room.

That is incredibly awesome, Shadowveil; if you think you're finished, email me both versions if you don't mind and I'll see which fits better.

Here's my... er... Day 1 update:

The Rightmost Tree of the Top Levels

Now just to add more branches, add leaves, and do 2 more trees - 1 of which is almost twice the size of that... XD

Great job, Shadowveil! Your part is very pretty looking, I like the tidy garden thouch of it (that statue such a awesome addition!).

Your tree is really good looking, Liam (I find trees really hard to get right!). Will you reviel what kind of enviroment you're heading for?
(and, will you exchange that.. wobbly dome-glass too? I recall its free drawn with a wheelmouse XD You made a nice dome already, but it was never added to this version of the BioDome)

And a update from me;

I'm very uncertain, particulary about these plants x.X
Crititism would be great!

I think this is all looking quite excellent. I can't really do much at the moment but offer moral support, but I'm following this project with interest.

Any agents planned or is that for later?

Thanks everyone! It was really quite fun.

I like the plants, Nirax. They seem to blend in pretty well.

Woah, Nirax, that looks awesome I think the plants fit in especially well!

Here's a little update; I decided to do a small pod which will 'hang' from one of the trees and the ceiling, which has a very small jungle environment, and an even smaller water environment. I also made a start on the second tree.

I'm planning to do a bit of a hanging garden as well, which should be interesting! I've drawn a few concepts for how that will work, and it looks good, so I guess we'll see.

Check out the top of the Biodome so far!

I'm not sure about the hanging pod yet; It will either be linked straight to the side or the ceiling, or it will hang from the tree. What do you guys think?
